KARACHI: Kamal for promoting IT literacy in Sindh


KARACHI, Jan 31: A comprehensive plan is being developed to promote Information Technology among the people of Sindh.

This was stated by provincial IT minister Syed Mustafa Kamal on Saturday, while speaking at a function held at the Sindh Madressahtul Islam.

Mr Kamal said the plan was being prepared in collaboration with local people as well as the expatriate Pakistanis, and that it would go a long way in enhancing IT literacy rate in the province.

He also lauded the contributions of the Sindh Madressah in the realm of education.

The principal of the institution, Prof Mohammad Ali Shaikh, spoke about the history of the Madressah, besides the educational activities being pursued by it.

Later, Mr Kamal visited the computer lab at the Madressah and assured the principal of government's cooperation.
