SIALKOT, Jan 31: As many as 12 men were recovered from illegal detention with the police on Friday night. DSP traffic Javaid Nisar Basra raided the Satrah police station in Daska tehsil on the directive of Sialkot DPO. The DSP found that 12 men had been in the lock-up for the last two week and no case was registered against them.

Gujranwala Range DIG Altaf Qammar suspended Satrah SHO Inspector Adnan Malik from service on the charge of negligence of duty.

PRISONERS RELEASED: Sialkot District and Sessions Judge Badaruz Zaman Chatta ordered on Saturday the release of 50 inmates of the district jail who were involved in minor cases.

The DSJ also inspected the jail's hospital and kitchen.

He expressed satisfaction over the jail's security arrangements.
