KARACHI: Two killed

KARACHI, Jan 31: Two people were shot dead in different localities on Saturday. Police said that Iqbal Ahmed, 28, was killed by his cousin, Nazim Hussain, in Mominabad over some personal enmity. Following the murder, Nazim escaped from the spot. Later, the body of Iqbal was taken to a hospital for autopsy.

In Orangi Town, the owner of a general store was shot dead when he put up resistance to bandits. Police said Bakht Mohammad Hakeem was running his store in Sector-10 when bandits entered his shop and demanded at gunpoint whatever cash he had. Hakeem resisted the bandits, who shot him dead and fled.

RECOVERY: Police seized weapons and ammunitions, dumped in an underground water tank of an empty plot in Mauripur on Saturday.

TPO Athar Rasheed said police found a Klashinkov, a .222 rifle, a 7mm rifle, five cartridges of Klashinkov, and over 2,000 bullets. However, the police could not yet arrest any suspect so far.
