KARACHI: 3 die in accidents

KARACHI, Jan 31: Three people died in road accidents on Saturday. A truck hit an elderly man, Haji Laiq, on Super Highway near Madina Colony. Haji Laiq, 60, died on the spot. His body was sent to a hospital for autopsy. Later, some enraged people of the area managed to stop the truck and beat its driver. They also put the truck on fire.

In a hit-and-run accident in Liaquatabad, a middle-aged woman died. Her body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy. The unidentified body was later sent to Edhi morgue.

Asif Pervez, 24, was knocked down to death by a speeding vehicle near Ziauddin Hospital's roundabout in Taimuria police limits. He was taken to the hospital for autopsy.

BODY FOUND: The bullet-riddled body of an unidentified man was found in an empty plot in Mochko, the police said. Police said the body was dumped in an empty plot in Ittehad Town. It was shifted to a hospital, where the doctors stated that the body was almost a week old.
