KARACHI: Five men arrested for theft

KARACHI, Jan 29: Police arrested five men for their alleged involvement in stealing spare parts of the recovered vehicles, parked at Nazarath in Gulshan-i-Iqbal.

According to the Citizen-Police Liaison Committee, police, Rangers and CPLC representatives laid a trap after receipt of complaints about the stealing of the parts of vehicles, which were recovered and parked at Nazarath (Central Vehicles Pool).

As a result of the trap, five suspects were arrested red-handed and identified as Abdul Rauf, Mohammad Faisal, Sanaullah, Baboo, and Adil. Their ringleader, Riaz, along with his accomplice Bilal, managed to escape. Raids were being conducted to arrest them, the CPLC said.

CRUSHED: A middle-aged man was crushed to death beneath a locomotive near the Cantt Railway station on Thursday.
