KARACHI: Illegal cattle markets banned
KARACHI, Jan 17: The city Nazim has permitted the setting up of six temporary animal markets in the city on the occasion of Eid.
These markets will be established at Hub River road near Wilayat Shah shrine, Baldia Town; Main Superhighway (Scheme-33), Shah Abdul Latif Town (Sector-22), Bin Qasim Town; Bakra Mandi Malir, Khurramabad Ground near Mehran Highway Landhi and Main Manghopir Road near Javedan Cement Factory.
The city government has also banned the setting up of markets in other city area.
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the erection of camps and Shamianas, appeals for hides through loudspeakers, publicity for collection of hides and skins, chalking, banners and handbills have also been banned under Section 144 CrPC.
Any individual or organization seeking to collect hides and skins of sacrificial animals will have to obtain prior permission from the EDO Revenue.
Meanwhile, the City Nazim has extended the ban on an illegal hydrant at Nishtar Road for another seven days. He had received information that water injuries to health was being supplied from this hydrant while roads in Jamshed Town were also getting damaged because of this hydrant.
Entry of heavy vehicles into the city has also been banned for seven days. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter the city between 7am and 9am, and 6pm and 8pm.
He has also prohibited the lifting of reti-bajri. Bathing in the sea affected by oil-spill and catching of fish and preparation of chicken-feed from marine life have also been banned.-APP
