PESHAWAR, Jan 15: The Association of Private Schools Management, Hayatabad, on Thursday welcomed the NWFP government's decision to hand overthe affairs of Hayatabad township to the city development municipal department.

"The move to transfer the affairs of the township from the Town-III administration to the municipal department is commendable," the association's president, Nazar Hussain, said at a press conference.

He alleged that the town administration had conspired to removeprivate schools from the locality and deprive 3,000 students of education. He alleged that teachers and students of the schools were being harassed.

He alleged that the town administration had failed to fulfil its responsibilities in other fields also. He demanded allotment of plots to school owners in Hayatabad.
