Bus service protocol will be renewed today


ISLAMABAD, Jan 12: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) and Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) will sign a protocol on Tuesday to extend the existing agreement for Lahore-Delhi-Lahore bus service.

A seven-member Indian delegation, led by DTC Chairman A.J.S Sahney, has arrived here to hold talks with the technical committee of Pakistan on Jan 13 and 14.

PTDC Managing Director Malik Habib Khan told APP the previous protocol, which was signed on Feb 17, 1999, was due to expire on Feb 16, 2004. Hence, the new protocol would be signed to renew the project, he added. The discussions, he said, would be held about the bus fare, food provision during the journey and other technical issues.-APP
