KARACHI, Jan 12: Two appointment orders were delivered to Shaista Almani at the Women Police Station on Monday afternoon. She and her sister, Parveen Almani, have been appointed, on contract basis , as Family Welfare Assistants in BPS 5 in the Sindh Population Welfare Department and posted at Karachi.

The orders were delivered to her by Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Rahila Tiwana and Sindh Population Welfare Minister spokesperson Ejaz Khokhar.The Almani sisters are still living at the women police station and have not yet taken a decision to move or not to the flat inGulistan-i-Jauher. The flat has been arranged for the Almani sisters by Mr Imtiaz Ahmad Shaikh, Ms Rahila Tiwana and their friends. The keys of the flat were given toShaista Almanion Sunday.

Ms Shaista, still feeling threatened by her tribesmen, has appealed to President Pervez Musharraf and the Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali to provide her security.

Her father, Himat Ali Almani, who works in the Sindh Irrigation Department, has been transferred, on her request, to Hyderabad, and Mr Shaikh had assured her that she could approach him for any other assistance that she might require in future.

Shaista Almanihad married of her free will, a few months back, and since then she had gone through hell as she was continuously being chased by the tribesmen.
