KARACHI, Jan 12: Sindh Minister for Labour, Transport, Commerce and Industries, Muhammad Adil Siddiqui, has urged SESSI employees to serve the secured workers with human spirit.
He was addressing a large gathering of Sindh Employees' Social Security Institution (SESSI) employees and labour leaders at thanks-giving ceremony, organized by SESSI, CBA, on approval of their charter of demands, said a press release issued from SESSI here on Monday.
Appreciating the working of labour department, the minister said that progress in SESSI working had become significant, as social security hospitals had been provided all facilities, which they lacked before.
"Improvement greatly depends on the efficiency of staff rather than equipment and buildings. Therefore, all staff members should play their role effectively to improve SESSI's image," he said.
Adil Siddiqui said that he had been accepting the genuine demands of CBA, as labour welfare had always been his priority. However, he added that the welfare of secured workers should be given more emphasis by everyone associated with the SESSI.
Earlier, Incharge Labour Division, Furqan A. Tayeb, CBA President Ahmedullah, General Secretary Zafar Abbas and Incharge Labour Unit Mohsin Abbasi in their speeches assured the minister that they would work with dedication to make his (minister's) mission for labour welfare a success.
