LARKANA, Jan 10: An amount of Rs 64.053 million has been approved for lining of the Rice canal from the new bus terminal to the bye-pass. This was stated by district Nazim Khursheed Ahmed Junejo on Saturday.

He said banks on both sides of the canal had totally eroded resulting in occurrence of leaks and put Larkana city in a dangerous position. The Nazim said it was decided to cement the lining of this important canal from RD-245 to the RD-275 to meet the above situation.

With the completion of work, it will become helpful for smooth flow of the canal, he hoped.

It will reduce the seepage effect on both sides of the city and give a beautiful look to the canal, he added.-APP
