KARACHI, Jan 8: Saqlain Mushtaq finished with a match bag of 11 wickets for 159 runs as PIA completed an innings and 15-run win over Bangladesh 'A' in the Patron's Trophy Pool 'A' match at Quaid-i-Azam Cricket Park on Thursday.

The Test off-spinner, currently out of national reckoning, took more wickets on the fourth and final day as Bangladesh 'A' mustered 284 in their second innings. Saqlain had figures of five for 79 to follow his six for 80 in the first innings.

Jamaluddin Babu top-scored for the Bangladeshis with a fighting knock of 81 before he was last out, caught by Faisal Iqbal off PIA skipper Asif Mujtaba's slow left-armer.

Fast bowler Fazle Akbar, who played in four Tests and two One-day Internationals before being discarded, captured three for 83 in his comeback match and ended with six wickets for the game.

PIA now have 21 points in five matches and their final tie is against Pakistan Customs from Jan 19. They still have a remote chance of making the final if results of the remaining Pool 'A' matches go in their favour.
