By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Jan 1: Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) will remain closed from January 4 to 6 due to Saarc summit, said an official statement on Thursday.

"In view of the tight security measures, the Islamabad capital territory administration requested the university to close the campus during this time, which has been accepted," the statement added.

The ICT administration has declared the Constitution Avenue a high security zone as majority of the delegates will be staying at hotels located on the road and will be travelling to the Convention Centre to attend the summit.
