KARACHI, Dec 31: A delegation led by Member of Provincial Assembly Maulana Umer Sadiq met the managing director of KESC, Brig Tariq Saddozai at the KESC headquarters and discussed electricity problems in Baldia with him, says a press release.

The KESC managing director issued orders for the installation of pole-mounted transformers and poles as well as replacement of wires. The delegation consisted of Qari Usman, Qari Abdul Hafeez and Qari Fazal Shah.

The meeting was also attended by KESC Incharge Distribution Jamil Gul, Baldia Zonal Manager Naeem-ur- Rehman, Executive engineers M. Maqsood Ali and Gul Hassan Shaikh.

During the meeting, it was decided that the work on Bismillah Chowk PMT, Ilyas Coach PMT, Qaim Khani Colony PMT, Sector 8-E and Sector 12 PMT would be completed by Jan 15.

Besides, Amin Mazda feeder will soon become operative and the areas of Ittehad Town, Mohammad Khan Colony, Qaim Khani Colony and Nawab Colony will be benefited.

The meeting was told that in Baldia PS-90 and 91, about 26 system improvement schemes were in progress while legal connections were being provided at subsidized rates in those areas infested with illegal kundas.

MPA Maulana Umer Sadiq promised to extend all possible help in the elimination of power theft.

On his request, Brig Saddozai directed KESC engineers to study the possibilities of minimizing loadshedding by segregating residential and industrial feeders supplying power to Shershah.
