LAHORE, Dec 20: The administration committee of Lahore High Court headed by Chief Justice Mr. Justice Iftikhar Husain Chaudhry has suspended three civil judges and dismissed a senior civil judge.

These decisions were taken in a meeting of the administration committee held here on Saturday.

The suspended civil judges were Ghulam Abbas Khakhar, Shabbir Husain and Shaukat while the dismissed senior civil judge is Zafar Iqbal Gondal.

The committee also took a number of decisions, including conferring of powers of civil judges 2nd class on 109 judges of 2000 batch.

It also dispensed with the services of Civil Judge Muhammad Shahid Siraj and terminated his extended period of probation. It also accepted the resignation of civil judge Sohaib Ahmed.—APP
