KARACHI: PMA polls

KARACHI, Dec 20: Dr Haseeb Alam and Dr S.M. Qaiser Sajjad have been elected unopposed as the honorary president and general secretary of the Pakistan Medical Association, Karachi chapter.

According to the PMA statement, following candidates had been declared unopposed as honorary office-bearers of PMA, Karachi: Haseeb Alam (president), Muhammad Arshad Malik and Amin A. Gadit (vice-presidents), S.M. Qaiser Sajjad (general secretary), Nighat Shah (finance secretary), Syed Furqan Zafar (joint secretary), Shahid Shamim (editor of PMA English journal), Mirza Ali Azhar (editor of PMA Urdu journal), and Syed Aamir Raza (librarian).

The newly elected cabinet would be installed in the office on Dec 31, it added.
