Phutti arrivals

KARACHI, Dec 17: Arrivals of phutti recorded by the Pakistan Cotton Ginners’ Association (PCGA) up to December 15, stood at 7.482 million bales.

According to a statement issued by the PCGA on Wednesday (Dec 17) the association did not collect phutti arrivals data during the corresponding period last year. Therefore, no comparative figures were given by the association which could be used for the review report.

During this period total arrival of phutti in Punjab stood at 6.025 million bales and in Sindh at 1.456 million bales.

The textile mills have purchased 5.485 million bales so far and exporters around 148,968 bales. The Trading Corporation of PAkistan has not entered the market as phutti prices remained much higher than the support price.— Staff Reporter
