KARACHI, Dec 16: Workers during the first five months of the current fiscal year (July-November) have remitted $1488.08 million.

According to State Bank of Pakistan, here Tuesday, this amount included $24.89 million received through encashment and profit earned on Foreign Exchange Bearer Certificates (FFBCs) and Foreign Currency Bearer Certificates (FCBCs).

Workers remitted $253.08 million during November this fiscal year (2003-04) while in October, September, August and July, 2003, they remitted $328.52 million, $318.38, $280.87 million and $307.23 million respectively.
