Abid grabs hat trick

PESHAWAR, Dec 12: A hat trick by Abid Raza helped Peshawar Colts to a 101-run victory against Board Club in the 17th Frontier Gold Cup played at Gymkhana Ground on Friday.

Abid finished with the excellent figures of five wickets for 12 in four overs.

Peshawar Colts batting first scored 190 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Sami Ullah (39 off 44 balls), Abid (33 off 37 balls) Naeem Gul (29 off 39 balls) and Shahzad Khan (29 off 18 balls) were the prominent run getters for the winners.

Ikram Ullah was the most successful bowler for Board Club and grabbed five wickets for 70 runs in his six overs spell while Zaheer Hasan got two for 32 runs.

In reply Board Club were bundled out for 89. Umar Qayyum scored 41 runs but none of the other batsmen could cross the double figures.
