ISLAMABAD, Dec 5: The Central Board of Revenue has revised downward rates of duty drawback on export of talcum powder.
According to a customs notification issued on Friday, the new rates of duty drawback would be applicable from December 4, 2003.
The new rate of duty drawback would be 3.92 per cent of the fob value on export of perfumed or cologne talcum powder and its raw materials — talc (hydrous magnesium silicate); magnesium carbonate light; zinc oxide; magnesium stearate; boric acid, perfume fragrance; plastic moulding compound-PVC bottle grade; plastic moulding compound-PP for caps or seals; PVC shrink film for six per cent packing and art paper for labels.
Similarly, the tax authorities allowed exporters to claim duty drawback on export of prickly heat perfumed talcum powder at the rate of 4.41 per cent of
the fob value and its raw materials — talc (hydrous magnesium silicate); magnesium carbonate light; zinc oxide; menthol; camphor; perfume fragrance; plastic moulding compound-PVC bottle grade; plastic moulding compound-PP for caps or seals; PVC shrink film for six per cent packing and art paper for labels.
