KARACHI: MMA may call APC for joint strategy

KARACHI, Dec 1: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, on Monday, announced that it would propose holding of an All Parties Conference (APC) to devise a joint strategy with other political parties in case government fails to bring constitutional amendment bill in the National Assembly by Dec 18.

“In any case, if the government does not bring constitutional amendment package, prepared at the residence of S.M. Zafar by Dec 18, the MMA will start its ‘Remove Musharraf Campaign’,” the MMA’s Deputy Parliamentary leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmed said while talking to newsmen in Karachi.

He maintained that the MMA was considering to hold the All Parties Conference in Islamabad in case the government fails to fulfil its promise with the MMA regarding Legal Framework Order.

He warned that if government failed in fulfilling its promise, its removal on the pattern of Georgia would become inevitable. —PPI
