KARACHI, Dec 1: Seven ships carrying soyabean meal, containers and crude oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was slow where two ships, Kota Teraju and Prince to unload and load containers and general cargo were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which sailed out included Kota Nangoa, Wan Hai-307 and Dominico Ievoli, while Naga, Johar, Prince, Sea Milo, Gao He and Pacific Ocean are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active where a total tonnage of 99,220 tons comprising 3,091 tons of export cargo and 96,129 tons of import tonnage including 36,582 tons of oils was handled. The following ships are due on Tuesday: Mercs Sajinda, with 1,500 tons of soyabean meal, Shalamar, with crude oil, P.O. Mariyah, Sinar Bangka, Dubai, Global Progress, APL Emerald, with containers.
