KARACHI, Nov 30: Retired employees of the Pakistan International Airlines Corporation have demanded urgent review of the organization’s policy to discontinue pensions to widows of its ex-workers after passage of 10 years.
The policy would particularly affect the widows of the lower cadre employees, who have little opportunities to make any investment for their old age and largely depend on pension for survival.
Termination of pension would expose the widows to extremely difficult situations, one of the widows and mother of four mute children said.—APP
