KARACHI: Ibad felicitates people

KARACHI, Nov 28: Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has felicitated the people for celebrating Eid in a pleasant, calm and peaceful atmosphere in the city and said that the last 30 days were “most peaceful in the 56 years history of the country”.

The governor was talking to people from all walks of life at the Governor’s House on the Eid day. Those who met him included Ulema, military and civil officials, consuls-general of Islamic countries in Karachi.

Earlier, the governor offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at Gulshan-i-Jinnah (Polo Ground).

Delegations of various associations of special persons, including deaf and blind, also met the governor and exchanged Eid greetings.

Earlier, the governor visited Clifton beach, along with senior officials and their families.

Speaking on the occasion, he praised the efforts of police and other law-enforcement agencies, the city administration and the people of Karachi for maintaining peace in the city.—APP/PPI
