A case has been registered at the B-section police station, Khairpur.

DEMO: A large number of residents of 19 villages held a demonstration here the other day to protest against frequent power loadshedding in their area.

The protesters, coming from the villages of Soomar Mallah, Ghulam Mohammad Burdi, Mohammad Bukhsh Bhambhro and others, raised slogans against the Hesco officials of Kumb and Kot Diji.

They alleged that the Hesco officials were resorting to loadshedding for eight hours a day in the villages while power supply to local cotton factories remains unaffected.
