MITHI, Nov 20: Sindh minister for works and services and Tharparkar relief committee chief Arbab Ghulam Rahim here on Wednesday distributed compensation cheques of Rs2 million to the heirs of 22 people, out of 25, who recently died in the rains.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rahim said a cheque of Rs100,000 per victim was given to each affected family.
He said those whose cattle perished in the rains would also be compensated.
