Saqib’s 107 in vain

KARACHI, Oct 31: A dashing 107 by Saqib Mahmood, laced with 10 boundaries and two sixes, was not enough to see his team Young Pak Flag through to victory, going down by five wickets to Malir Muslim CC in the Nehal Siddiqui Ramazan League played on Thursday.

Young Pak Flag scored 167 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs.

With Abbas Lakhani slamming 10 fours in his unbeaten 83 and Fazil weighing in with 38 runs, Malir Muslim CC reached 169 for five wickets in 19.1 overs.

Easy WIN for Eaglets

Karachi Eaglets had an easy eight-wicket victory over Al Mumtaz CC, in the Arif Siddiqui Memorial Ramazan League.

Al Mumtaz were skittled out for 106 runs in 19.1 overs. Osama Khan and Anwar Rasheed with three wickets apiece for 17 runs, caused the batting landslide. M. Shakeel (30) and Hanif (22), were the only batsmen to reach double figures.

Karachi Eaglets replied with 108 runs for the loss two wickets in 18.1 overs through Tanveer Ahmed (33) and Saad Siddiqui (25).
