Punjab emerge champions

KARACHI, Oct 20: Punjab who massed 377 points emerged winners of the two-day 6th national women’s junior age-group champions which ended on Sunday at Karachi Gymkhana.

Sindh who garnered 350 points finished second.

During the meet 24 new records out of 45 event were established with Punjab’s Rubab Raza and Wapda’s Kiran Khan shattered six records each in in Group two and three.

Others who broke new marks were Sindhs Ayza Tareen and Pakistan Army’s Mehrunnisa Khan two each, Ayesha Akram (Punjab) and Rema Qureishi (Army) one each.

200m butterly (Group 1) Ayesha Akram 3.38.92;

100m freestyle (Group 3) Kiran Khan 1.07.16

100 breaststroke (Group 2) Rubab Raza 1.31.21 (New Record)
