KARACHI: Urdu varsity holds debate

KARACHI, Oct 20: Mohammad Saad and Farhan A. Khan secured first position in the Urdu and English debate competitions, respectively.

The contest was organized by the Federal Urdu University for Arts, Science and Technology on Monday.

Mehdi Ali stood second in the Urdu debate contest while Dania Majeed stood third.

In the English debate, Qamar Hayat won second position while Madiha Arif was declared third.

Prof. Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rehman, Dean of the University’s Faculty of Science, presided over the event. Those who secured first three positions would be taking part in an all-Pakistan debate to be organized in Islamabad.—APP
