Suspects held in S. Arabia

RIYADH, Oct 12: Saudi security forces on Sunday arrested a number of suspected militants in the northeast of the kingdom, officials said.

Authorities are also tracking down other suspected militants in Qassim province, the officials said, but did not say how many people had been arrested.

Qassim was the site of one of the biggest clashes between police and militants since the May 12 suicide bombings in Riyadh, which killed 35 people, including nine Americans.—Reuters
