Train crushes two at unmanned crossing

MULTAN, Oct 12: Two persons were crushed to death on Sunday by Karachi-bound Shalimar Express in Kutabpur area of the Lodhran district at an unmanned level-crossing.

Naseer Gujjar and Nasir Gujjar of Chak 8-WB were on way to Chak 5-D by a motorcycle when they were run over by the train. Both the motorcyclists died on the spot.

LAID: Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi also laid foundation stones of Bosan and Sher Shah roads.

The construction projects will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs260 million.

The chief minister also kicked off work on a Rs100 million project of the sewerage system to be laid in Mumtazabad area. He announced that a grant of Rs160 million would further be given to Multan for overhauling of its sewerage and water supply system.
