QUETTA, Oct 12: The PML-N leaders in Balochistan declared that Oct 12 would go in the history as a black day and vowed to continue the struggle under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif for the revival of the constitutional rule to strengthen the political and democratic institutions in the country.

Party’s provincial president Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasar presided over the protest meeting at Nasar House here on Sunday wherein Malik Rafiq Awan, Ayaz Swati, Saleem Bukhari, Nasibullah Bazai, Sardar Akbar Kharoti and others addressed the gathering.

MNA Nasar bitterly criticized the military generals for toppling the elected government of ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

He said that the Oct 12 would be remembered in the history as black day when the democracy was crushed by the selfish army generals who snatched powers by dismissing an elected government that enjoyed two thirds majority in the national assembly.

Sardar Nasar claimed that power could be taken at gunpoint from an unarmed person but remaining in power against the people’s will was not possible, adding that military ruler had seen the result of his so-called presidential referendum.

He said that though Nawaz Sharif is sitting outside the country but still enjoys the support and confidence of the people.
