Four persons die in separate incidents

RAWALPINDI, Oct 7: Three persons were killed in a road accident, while a man committed suicide, police said here on Tuesday.

In the first incident, two women — Munawar Jan and Nadia Begum — died when a car (GAC-4777) hit them at Dhoke Mistrian in Mandra.

Fazal Karim, son-in-law of Munawar Jan, told the police that he along with the women was on his way home when the car coming from behind hit them.

In another incident, Hanif Mohammad was killed when a bus driven by Matloob Hussain hit his cycle in Jatli. The cyclist received serious injuries and died on the spot.

Meanwhile, Kalim Bhatti, 45, committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in New Lalazar Colony on Tuesday.

Nargis, wife of the deceased, told the police that her husband was a drug addict and had been in distress due to financial problems.

The police have shifted the body to District Headquarters hospital for autopsy.

WOMAN BURNT:A woman sustained serious burn injuries while preparing food at her house in Saddar Berouni.

The 20-year-old burn victim, Tashfeen, was rescued by her family and taken to Rawalpindi General Hospital.

According to the doctors, the victim received 90 per cent burns and is said to be in critical condition.

BURGLARY: Burglars entered the house of Ghulam Hussain in I- 10/2 and made off with gold ornaments, prize bounds worth Rs150,000, a camera, a revolver, watches and a computer.
