KARACHI: Two men killed in Lyari

KARACHI, Oct 1: Two young men were shot dead in separate incidents in Lyari on Wednesday.

Police said that the body of an unidentified victim, in his early 20’s, was found near Govt Degree College Rasoolabad within the limits of Kalakot police station. They said that the body was without clothes and the victim’s hands were tied behind his back. Police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital for autopsy.

Hospital sources said that the victim had suffered 26 bullet wounds inflicted by a Klashenkove.

Police said that it seemed as if the man was killed on the same spot from where his body was found as empties were recovered from the spot. Following the autopsy examination, the body was shifted to the Edhi morgue for identification.

A labourer, Muhammad Iqbal, 25, was shot dead in the jurisdiction of Kalakot police station in Lyari.

Earlier, Iqbal had submitted an application against two persons, Akhtar and Majju, to the police. On Wednesday, the two men shot him in the limits of Kalakot police station. His body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police are looking for the suspected men involved in the killing.

ACCIDENT: A boy died in a road accident on Wednesday. Police said that an unidentified 15-year-old boy was knocked down to death by a speeding truck (JT-6030) near Singer Chowrangi in Korangi Industrial Area. They claimed to have impounded the vehicle. However, the driver escaped from the spot. His body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem examination.
