KARACHI: Private airline set to restart operation


KARACHI, Sept 29: The Safe Air International (SAI) is scheduled to restart its operation in the first week of December after the settlement of dues with the Civil Aviation Authority.

The spokesperson for the airline said that the SAI, which had suspended its operation in December 2000, would launch its operation on domestic sectors from Karachi to various cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Gawadar, Sukkur, Bhawalpur, Turbat and Dera Ismail Khan.

She said that the airline was acquiring two Russian 160- seater jet (TU-154 M), two YAK 42-D, four AN-24 for socio- economic routes. The airline had also planned to induct three Boeing-737 in the fleet, she added. — Staff Reporter
