Clarification
KARACHI, Sept 29: Referring to a news item, that appeared in Dawn on September 28, regarding renewal of licences for deep sea fishing trawlers, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock (MINFAL) has clarified that the renewal of the existing fishing licences has temporarily been held up in order to review and address the concerns of the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan and the small scale fishermen.
