Co-op officials warned against failure to recover loans

By Our Correspondent

BAHAWALPUR, Sept 28: Punjab Cooperatives Minister Lt-Col Malik Muhammad Anwar has warned that officials of his department who fail to show 100 per cent recovery of loans and arrears by Dec 31, could face termination and forcible retirement.

He was presiding over a meeting of zonal chiefs, district and branch managers and DOs of the department at the Bahawalpur circuit house on Sunday.

He said that the process of accountability in the department would soon be started. On complaints of farmers, raids would be conducted to ensure timely advance-payment to applicants.
