KARACHI: Two shot dead by robbers

KARACHI, Sept 27: Two people were shot dead in robberies at different places in the metropolis on Saturday.

Police said some unidentified robbers entered a hardware shop belonging to one Nooruddin, 52, in Bohra Pir and demanded of him the cash he had. Noor resisted the bandits, who shot him and fled, leaving the victim in a pool of blood. He died on the spot.

The people of the area called the Risala police, which reached the spot and shifted the body to a hospital for autopsy.

In an identical incident in Shadman police limits, dacoits entered an internet cafe, owned by one Usman Khalil, 25, and demanded cash at gunpoint. Instead, he put up resistance to dacoits, who sprayed him with bullets and fled.

Usman was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The police handed the body over to the family of Usman after an autopsy.

STABBED TO DEATH: A man was stabbed to death near his house in Korangi on Saturday.

Police said some unidentified men attacked Manzoor Hussain, 32, near his Nasir Colony home. Manzoor was repeatedly stabbed and he died on the spot.

The police shifted the body to a hospital for autopsy and was looking for the killers.
