KARACHI, Sept 23: Three ships carrying containers, base oil and chemicals are due arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Marylaki to offload steel coils, Tai Gu Hai to unload DAP fertilizer, Action Express and Nur al-Jubail to offload high speed diesel and chemicals respectively.

Four ships, Iwato, Claudius, Warbah and Sorena departed on Tuesday, while Action Express, Leader-1, Marylaki, Kota Waris and Mercs Kandy are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher as the total tonnage rose to 85,441 tons comprising 6,105 tons of export cargo and 79,336 tons of import tonnage including 62,976 tons of oils.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Hyundai Advance, with containers, Innovation, with 200 tons of base oil and Sapphire, with 6,500 tons of chemicals.
