Package termed last chance to save system

By Our Reporter

RAWALPINDI, Sept 21: Vice-president of the Pakistan Muslim League and chairman of the party’s media committee Syed Kabir Wasti has said the constitutional package of the government has given a last chance to the opposition to save the assemblies from dissolution.

Talking to the PML workers at the party secretariat, he warned the opposition that rejection of the package in the present situation could be fatal for the whole system, a press release said.

The PML leader said not only the MMA but other opposition groups, particularly the ARD, should also accept the package unconditionally to give democracy a chance to flourish.

He urged the opposition to accept the package which he said was the best in the present circumstances.

He sought the opposition’s support for validation of the package by the parliament.
