Man stabbed to death

RAWALPINDI, Sept 21: Two persons were killed, one of them stabbed to death, in separate incidents in Rawalpindi Islamabad, police said on Sunday.

Rizwan Ahmed, a shopkeeper, was stabbed to death allegedly by his rival in the RA Bazaar police area on Sunday.

The investigation officer, Inspector Raja Faiz, said Rizwan had a brawl with Mehmood on Saturday, but the issue was settled by the notables of the area at that time.

On Sunday, Mehmood came to Rizwan’s shop and stabbed him repeatedly, the investigation officer said.

The alleged killer is yet to be arrested by the police.

In another incident, a security guard, Abdul Razaq, was killed after being run over by a speeding vehicle near Faisal Mosque on Saturday night, the police said.

Meanwhile, robbers struck at two places, while two persons were deprived of their vehicles in Rawalpindi, the police said on Sunday.
