RAWALPINDI, Sept 20: The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) has suspended three employees for negligence in their duties.

According to sources, those who had been suspended were: inspector encroachments Sakhawat, assistant building superintendent Khan Afsar, and clerk Sarwar.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Ashraf Bhatti has also been relieved of the additional charge of superintendent buildings. Mr Bhatti has been directed to report back to infrastructure and services department, the sources added.

They said action against these employees was taken after the Tehsil Naib Nazim Sajjad Khan carried out an inspection of encroachments and under construction buildings and bridges.

The Naib Nazim found out that some of the employees concerned were absent

from duty and irregularities were being committed in the works.

Sajjad Khan has also directed the heads of different departments to appoint staff of their choice on various duties, they added.
