KARACHI, Sept 19: Five ships carrying raw jute, soyabean meal and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

The ships, which departed included Al-Manakh and

White Domain, while Pantanassa, Hyundai Highway, Al-Barakah, Oriental Bright and Shalamar are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side for second day in a row owing to larger handling of liquid tonnage. The tonnage again rose to 0.109m tons comprising 21,974 tons of export cargo including 626 tons of rice and 87,421 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Kota Tegap, Wan Hai-303, Iwato, with containers, Banglar Gourab, with 4,910 tons of raw jute and Mercs Kandy, with 2,700 tons of soyabean meal.
