KARACHI: CM reviews law, order situation


KARACHI, Sept 17: Sindh Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar has directed the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to improve the law and order situation by utilizing all available resources for elimination of crimes.

The chief minister was presiding over a high level meeting at the Chief Minister House here on Wednesday. He directed that law and order conditions in all the districts of Sindh should be diligently improved so that people could discharge their routine activities with satisfaction.

Mr Mahar asked the IG police to complete the “15” Madadgar programme at all district headquarters. He also called for efficient action by Rangers for elimination of criminals from Jacobabad district and thwarting of their designs at the inter- provincial border.

The meeting also reviewed various other law and order related measures.

Meanwhile, the chief minister held a meeting with ministers, advisers, MPAs and political leaders belonging to Thatta district at the CM House on Wednesday.

According to official sources, the members of Shirazi and Malkani clans held talks with the chief minister. The leaders unanimously declared that they would accept whatever decision would be taken by the chief minister about their problems.

The chief minister assured them that he would solve their problems without any discrimination. He expressed hope that they would all work together for rehabilitation of rain and flood affected people of Thatta district.

The meeting was attended by Aijaz Shah Shirazi, Syed Shafqat Shah Shirazi, Haji Mohammed Usman Malkanio, Ghulam Kadir Malkani, Mohammed Ali Malkani, Syed Manzoor Shah Shirazi, Abdul Rehman Memon, Ahmed Memon, Syed Nazim Hussain Shah and others.

MEDIA CELL: A media cell has been established in the Chief Minister House to look after the affairs of maintaining contacts with the Press. Shahjehan Panihar and Dr Baddar Channa will look after the cell. The telephone and fax numbers of media cell are 9202009 and 9202051 respectively.—APP
