HYDERABAD, Sept 15: The registrar, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, has notified that the last date for submitting forms for admission to BE, architecture and city and regional planning, for the 2003-2004 session has been extended up to Sept 20.

The admission forms can be obtained till Sept 18.

SPLA: The Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association has resolved to observe a black day on Sept 18 against the principal of the Government Girls College, Tando Adam.

This decision was taken at a meeting of Hyderabad region office-bearers of the SPLA held at the Government Boys College, Qasimabad, here on Monday.

The meeting blamed the principal for being inefficient and anti-education.

A press statement of the SPLA said teachers of 62 colleges of the region would wear black arm bands and hoist black flags atop college buildings on the day as a mark of protest.

The meeting expressed solidarity with teachers of the Government Girls College in their struggle.

IT and FUN MELA: The Hyderabad Institute of Arts, Science and Technology and the Green Marketing International, in collaboration with the district government, is organizing an Information Technology and Fun Mela from Oct 17 to 19 at the Civil Aviation Training Institute.

This was announced by District Nazim Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman.
