KARACHI: Power transformers inaugurated


KARACHI, Sep 12: Member National Assembly Farooq Sattar has urged the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) to complete 17 ongoing schemes by October, initiated by it under the System Improvement Plan, and suggested to initiate restructuring of its Landhi Zone before next summer.

He was inaugurating a 250 KVA transformer to improve power supply in 37-C area of Landhi on Friday. The KESC chief engineer Umar Khushk, and MPA, Amir Memon, were also present on the occasion.

Earlier, Mr Khushk briefed Mr Sattar about 49 schemes, through which problems of deteriorated conductors, power fluctuation and overloaded transformers would be solved.

A new 250 KVA transformer in Sector 8-C, Abesinia Lines, Jamshed Town, was inaugurated by UC-6 Nazim. —PPI
