KARACHI: Ideologically twin cities

KARACHI, Sept 11: The Nazims of Karachi and Lahore have signed an agreement declaring the two cities as ideologically twin cities.

In the agreement they pledged to work for promoting the ideology of Pakistan and to use the resources in this regard, take appropriate steps for mutual visits of teachers and students of the two cities and establish mutual relationship between their educational institutions.

According to City District Government sources, the Nazim of Karachi, Naimatullah Khan, and Lahore Nazim Mian Amir Mahmood signed the agreement at a ceremony held in Lahore and decided to bring the two cities closer to each other on an ideological basis.

Nazim Naimatullah Khan said the country would not have to pass through the tragedies if there had been ideological closeness between these two cities.—APP
