Students protest against BISE

By Our Correspondent

LARKANA, Sept 8: A group of activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz and students took out a protest procession here on Monday against the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Larkana.

They were carrying placards and raising slogans against the controller of examinations of the BISE.

They also burnt tyres and the effigy of the controller at the Pakistan Chowk.

The protesters said late fee was being charged from students who wanted to appear in the HSC supplementary examinations. They said many cases of awarding grace marks, as ordered by the Sindh governor, were also not decided by the board.

Speaking on the occasion, Larkana JSQM general-secretary Athar Soomro said despite producing marks sheets the controller was not allotting grace marks.

He said results of hundreds of students were not announced and they were shown absent although they had appeared in the examinations.

He said the protest would continue till the students were provided with justice.

The protestors dispersed after demonstrating outside the local press club.
