KARACHI: 98 vehicles taken away last week

KARACHI, Sept 7: Bandits either hijacked or stole 98 vehicles, 40 cars and 58 motorcycles, during the past one week in various parts of the metropolis.

According to the police statistics, 27 cars were taken away at gunpoint by the bandits and 13 others were stolen in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Johar, Gulberg, Clifton, Jamshed Quarters, Saddar, etc.

Twenty-two motorcycles were hijacked and 36 others stolen in Gulberg, New Karachi, Korangi, Landhi, Lyari, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Saddar, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and other areas.

Police also claimed to have recovered 36 stolen cars and 28 motorcycles during the past one week.
