KARACHI, Sept 7: Seven labourers were injured while working in the Gadani Ship Breaking yard on Sunday.

Edhi sources said that several labourers were injured when rubble from a ship’s deck fell on them.

Four of the injured were shifted to a private hospital in Karachi, the sources said.

The injured were identified as Malick Zareen, Abdul Mannan, Mohammad Zada and Walizada.

ARRESTED: Police on Sunday arrested two suspects, who had allegedly tried to outrage the honour of a woman and her minor daughter late on Saturday night in Mangopir.

The police said that two men from the neighbourhood, identified as Siraj and Karim, used to visit a widow with three young girls.

The police said that on Saturday night, they brought juices for the family, which fell unconscious after consuming the juices.

As the two men allegedly attempted to rape the woman she regained consciousness and raised alarm.

People from the neighbourhood came and got hold the two suspects.

The family was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where they were being provided treatment for poisoning.
